Welcome to the Adoption Centre!
Here, you may adopt characters:
-Who are unwanted
-Whose owners are quitting
-Who are pups from a new litter
-Who have been created because someone wants that character to be brought into the story (like someone from a backstory)
Normally, you must wait two weeks between applying for characters.
The big news?
YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT TWO WEEKS BETWEEN ADOPTING CHARACTERS!
PUTTING CHARACTERS UP FOR ADOPTION
You may either:
Ask a staff member to put your character(s) up for adoption
OR
put them up yourself.
If you wish to have a staff member put your character up for adoption, message them privately.
***WARNING: HAVING A STAFF MEMBER PUT YOUR WOLF UP FOR ADOPTION FOR YOU MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF THEM BEING ADOPTED BY SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT ROLEPLAY THE CHARACTER THE WAY YOU WANT THEM TO. IT IS BEST TO PUT CHARACTERS UP FOR ADOPTION BY YOURSELF, SO YOU CAN SET REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS FOR WHO WILL ADOPT YOUR CHARACTER.***
When you put a character up for adoption, you may not get them back.
Without further ado, this is how to put a character up for adoption:
1. Review our site's rules, found here.
2. Create a thread titled like this:
[Name of your character], [Gender of your character], [Pack you want your character to be in.*]
Or, for a new litter:
[Name of parents], [What litter this is (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.)], [Pack]
*The pack must currently be open. To check if a pack is open, click on the pack tabs at the top of this website. If you want them to be a rogue, just put "rogue" where the pack would go.
3. Type a bio for the character. The requirements for a bio are found here. Scroll down to "In the thread, you must include:" and start reading from there.
4. Once this is complete, list any questions the person who adopts your character must answer, such as:
-Why do you want to adopt this character?
-Do you think you would stay active with this character?
-What are your plans for the future of this character?
-Etc.
(STEP FOUR IS OPTIONAL.)
Please be kind, including, and reasonable to our other members with these approvals. If we feel that your reasons for turning someone down are hurtful or irrelevant, you will be notified and required to change them immediately.
5. Wait for people to apply for your character. You will be required to approve an application within a month of your character being put up for adoption. If they have not been adopted, you will be given the option to keep them and put them back up later or kill them off.
6. If you want to pause the flow of applications, close up the adoption so you can read all of them. If you have not found someone by then, you may reopen the adoption.
7. If you want to see more of what someone has to offer, ask them to write another sample. They may choose if they want to or not.
ADOPTING CHARACTERS
To adopt, it is quite simple:
1. Look for a character you wish to adopt.
2. See if the owner is still open to applications. If they are not, come back in a few days- they may open back up!
3. If the owner is open to applications, look over the wolf's bio and answer all the questions the owner of the character requires you to answer.
4. In the same post as the previous step, write an AT LEAST 100-word roleplay sample of roleplaying the character.
5.Wait for your application to be looked over.
6. If you get called back to write another roleplay sample, give it your all and don't stress if you don't get it!
