Aspen could sense Kemansi's uncomfortable air. Taking a bite of the mouse, the Alphess nudged it toward her Hunting Lead. "Is something wrong, Kemansi?"Aspen did not want to make the fae more uncomfortable, but she needed to know if her Hunting Lead was ill. The pack did not currently have a Healer; she would have to trek to Altum in order to get help for Kemansi, in which case she should know early on. Perhaps the fae was just nervous about her new role. Aspen knew that she had been, too, on the first day as Alphess. If this is the case, the fae thought, she will get over it.

"Oh! Oh, I'm fine, Alphess Aspen. Just a bit nervous." Lies. Kemansi put on a fake smile. "So..I'm quite curious on what I..do? I know what I do, but, I suppose I meant how to do it." She tried to ignore what she heard in the past, focusing on what she should be doing. Knowing how to do her job was much more important, anyways. She took a bite of the mouse, trying her best to stay natural. She'd lick her lips, the delicious taste flooding her mouth. Being a Hunting Lead was going to be hard, wasn't it? I guess there should be no surprise there, though.

Aspen smiled and chuckled. "Hunting Leads are just that- leaders of the hunters," she said, "because we have no hunters, you will continue your typical duties as a Huntress." Taking one more bite of the fresh mouse, the Alphess pushed it back to Kemansi and continued. "Once Frigid either grows up or we gain new members, you will tell them where and when to hunt, while you relax in the Base." Aspen sighed and looked around the clearing. "Life as a High Rank is good; you've got wolves to do things for you and you can spend your days doing as you want."

Kemansi nodded. "Sounds fun! I can't wait 'till we get more members.." She glanced at the sleeping pup. That was all they had. A pup and themselves. She really did hope more wolves would join, and soon. She worried about if this pack would even survive. It was a hard thing to do, start a pack. That's a reason why Kemansi admired Alphess Aspen. She did it. She decided to start a pack all by herself. And now she's her Hunting Lead! The fae smiled. "Times may be rough at the moment, but I do have high hopes for the future, Alphess! I believe we'll get more members soon."

Aspen turned over the low population issue in her head, thinking fast. Not taking her eyes off the trees, she spoke to Kemansi. "Are you feeling well enough to carry a message to the other packs?"Lumen needed alliances. She would send Kemansi to the other packs with... with... An invitation. That was it! Aspen met her Hunting Lead's yellow-green and purple gaze. "Kemansi, I want you to carry a message from me to the other territories. Invite the Alphas and their wolves to a gathering of all the packs. Tell them we will meet the fifth sunrise from now. Lumen needs alliances. We will not survive the next winter without help."Looking Kemansi dead in the eye, Aspen spoke. "Now go."

Kemansi's eyes widened. "Wh--But-" An alliance? "Now go." The fae hesitated, paralyzed in surprise. But then, nodded. "I will, my Alphess." Kemansi turned and dashed out the entrance, heading out to Altum's territory.
